About Me
I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009. Following this, I completed my post-doctoral training at the Long Beach VA Medical Center, specializing in psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.
I have practiced for 8 years in the Denver Metro area and teach in the PhD program in clinical health psychology at the University of Colorado, Denver.

At your first visit, I provide a comprehensive psychological assessment of your current struggles and your history. Together we create a personalized treatment plan for your specific needs and life goals.

Evidence-Based Approach
As a generalist, I treat a wide range of psychological problems across the adult life span using evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g. therapy shown in research to have successful outcomes). My specialty areas include treating PTSD, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety and complex or severe mental health problems.
My primary approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Accuracy of psychological diagnosis is an important element of guiding treatment. If you wish to have a first or second opinion on your diagnosis, I provide comprehensive one to two session assessment sessions.

Are you Learning or Practicing ACT?
As an ACT Trainer, I was originally trained by Dr. Steven Hayes in my PhD Program. I offer individual and group consulting for professionals wanting to learn or advance their ACT skills. I also provide ACT workshops around the country for mental health and medical professionals
